Hart Colt Baseball Team a Win Away From Second National Title in 10 Days
The Hart Colt baseball team will attempt to win its second championship in 10 days when it plays Midland of Cincinnati in the gold-medal game of the Junior Olympic Super Series tonight at 5.
Hart, winner of the Colt World Series in Lafayette, Ind., Aug. 19, is 4-0 in the five-team, double-elimination tournament and can win the series with a victory against Midland (4-1).
Midland, which must beat Hart twice to win the title, advanced to the title game with a win over Montgomery, Ala., on Saturday.
Robbie Davis, who compiled an 11-0 record for the Hart High team this spring, is the projected starter for Hart.
The series, which was interrupted by rain earlier, may be postponed by weather again today as forecasters are calling for storms in the area.
