Cal State Long Beach Plays Host to Boise St.
Cal State Long Beach will open its football season tonight at 6 against Boise State in a nonconference game at Long Beach Veterans Stadium.
The 49ers, 4-7 last year, are led by senior quarterback Jeff Graham, who has passed for more than 5,000 yards in two seasons. His main target is Derek Washington, who caught 52 passes in 1987.
Boise State, a Division 1-AA team from the Big Sky Conference, was 6-5 last season.
