Local News in Brief : Seal Beach : Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Truck
A motorcyclist was fatally injured when he collided with the rear of a pickup truck ahead of him in traffic, Seal Beach police said Monday.
Billy Wayne Higgins, 30, of Los Alamitos was taken by helicopter to Long Beach Memorial Hospital, where he died, according to information from Sgt. Michael Vasquez.
The accident occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday on Seal Beach Boulevard, south of Beverly Manor Road. Police were alerted by several calls to 911.
Higgins, riding a 1982 Yamaha motorcycle, had been northbound on Seal Beach Boulevard and crashed into the rear of of a northbound 1986 Ford pickup truck, police said.
