Tyson Says He’s Ready to Fight
Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, declaring he is ready to fight, has removed the cast from the hand he broke in a street fight and Sunday repeated denials of a report his recent New York car crash was a suicide attempt.
Tyson arrived in Moscow Friday with his wife Robin Givens, who is in the Soviet Union to film episodes of her television series. He attended the opening of the country’s first golf course along with soccer great Pele.
Tyson scoffed at a New York newspaper’s claims that his Sept. 4 car accident was a suicide attempt.
“Look at me. Take a good look at me. Now, does it look like I want to commit suicide? It does not look like it, does it? No way, no way,” said a relaxed Tyson wading through a mob of young Russians seeking his autograph at the Moscow Golf Club.
