About 600 irate Red Sox fans chanted, “We want tickets!” and stormed the ticket office at Fenway Park. They burned Red Sox caps after the team announced that tickets for playoff games won’t go on sale until Monday.

The fans said they were misled by an announcement Friday night on New England Sports Network, a cable television outlet partially owned by the Red Sox.

They said an announcement ran across the bottom of the screen at the conclusion of Oakland’s 7-1 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, which clinched the American League East title for Boston, indicating that tickets would go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m., EDT.
