Body in Bay May Be Leaper From Bridge
The body of a young man found floating in San Diego Bay Sunday may that of the person who jumped from the Coronado Bridge a week ago, authorities reported.
The identity of the victim, a 19-year-old white male, was being withheld pending positive identification, but coroner’s officials believe he is the same person who leaped off the bridge at mid-span at about 5 p.m. last Monday.
The body was found floating in the bay Sunday afternoon about 1,000 yards from Pier 4 near the 32nd Street Navy base, officials said.
