Frank Sinatra fell ill with laryngitis Tuesday night, forcing a late cancellation of a sold-out concert in suburban New York with Liza Minnelli and Sammy Davis Jr. About 17,000 fans had purchased tickets at $35-$50 each for the concert, the second of two at the arena, said Susan Reynolds, a spokeswoman for the tour. She said the concert would not be rescheduled. The decision to cancel the 8 p.m. concert was made about 5 p.m. but many fans did not find out until arriving for the show. The tour was to resume as scheduled tonight at the Centrum in Worcester, Mass., Reynolds said.
