Pilot Survives Boron Plane Crash

BORON, Calif. —
A military airplane crashed late this morning in the Mojave Desert near Boron, but the pilot apparently ejected and survived, Kern County authorities reported. The plane, believed to have been from nearby Edwards Air Force Base, crashed three to four miles northeast of Boron about 11:30 a.m., said a dispatcher for the Kern County Fire Department.
