1 Dies, 7 Hurt When Pickup Overturns

One person was killed and seven others were injured Monday when the small pickup truck they were riding in rolled over on a street in Pacoima, authorities said.
The identities of the passengers, all men ranging from 15 to 25 years old, were not immediately available, said Jim Wells, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The cause of the accident, which occurred about 6 p.m. in the 12000 block of West Pierce Street, was being investigated, Los Angeles police said.
