Local News in Brief : Traffic Officers Return to 2 of Valley’s Busiest Intersections
- Share via
Officers are again directing traffic at two of the San Fernando Valley’s busiest intersections--Beverly Glen and Ventura boulevards and Sepulveda and Ventura boulevards--Los Angeles City Councilman Zev Yaroslavsky announced.
The traffic officers are at work from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday, officials said.
Last summer, when Beverly Glen Boulevard was closed to traffic during a storm drain and resurfacing project, officers directed overflow traffic at both intersections. That stopped in August when the project was completed.
But severe morning traffic at both intersections has prompted the return of the traffic officers, said Darryl Roberson, a Valley traffic-control supervisor.
