Hailing Dodger Blue and Their Stuntmen

Share

As a boy growing up in Rochester, N.Y., I fell in love with the Dodgers (and Sandy Koufax) in 1963. I was 10 years old. The stadium was brand new.

It’s 25 years later and I’ve been living in Los Angeles for 10 years. I know I’ll never forget what the 1988 Dodgers gave me for my 25th anniversary as a fan. Thanks, guys.

Especially you, Mickey--you knucklehead. And you, Orel. The Stuntmen.

And Kirk--Teddy Roosevelt never carried a bigger stick.
