The Canadian Weightlifting Federation in Ottawa wants any country producing a weightlifter with a positive drug test during the Summer Olympics banned in that sport for the next Games.

The federation also wants the country of a weightlifter caught cheating at the World Championships suspended from international competition for a year.

Philippe Saint-Cyr will carry these two Federation recommendations to Budapest, Hungary, for an emergency meeting of the International Weightlifting Federation Nov. 15-16.
