A 12-year-old bicyclist who pulled out of a driveway onto a residential street suffered arm cuts and a bump on the head Monday when he was struck by a slow-moving car driven by Orange County Superior Court Judge Myron S. Brown, a Santa Ana police spokesman said.

“It definitely was the bicyclist’s fault,” said Maureen Thomas, police spokeswoman. “There was no way that Myron Brown could have stopped.”

The youth, identified as Adam L. Graham, 12, of Santa Ana, was taken to Western Medical Center, Thomas said. A hospital spokesman said the boy was “in stable condition.”

Brown was driving in the 1500 block of Parton Street at about 12:17 p.m. when the boy rode his bike out of a private driveway in front of the car, Thomas said.

Brown suffered a small cut on the arm from flying glass and told police he would go to a private doctor.
