Five men were arrested in Santa Ana on Wednesday for allegedly selling 10 kilograms of cocaine to undercover state agents, authorities said.

Two of the men were arrested about 2:30 p.m. inside Empressa Frias at 413 N. Broadway after undercover officers watched them bring some of the cocaine there and attempt to sell it to the officers, said Dick Flood, special agent in charge of the state Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement in Los Angeles.

The other three men were arrested in the parking lot outside the business, where officers found additional cocaine inside a car, Flood said.

The arrests were the result of a 6-week investigation that began with drug suspects in Los Angeles and led officials to a cocaine-selling operation in Orange County, he said.

Arrested Wednesday were Jesus Frias Munos, 34, of Mission Viejo; Rigoberto Rodriguez, 23, of Fontana; Librado Retano, 39, of Paramount; Ruben Ramirez, 39, of Santa Ana; and Eleobordo Lopez, 33, of Compton. They were booked on suspicion of selling cocaine and conspiracy to sell cocaine, Flood said. All five were being held at County Jail.

Flood said officials were investigating to see if there was a connection between suspect Jesus Frias Munos and Empressa Frias, a music-promoting business.
