Local News in Brief : Freeway Off-Ramps at Winnetka to Be Closed
The eastbound and westbound Winnetka Avenue off-ramps on the Ventura Freeway will be closed this weekend for road construction, state Department of Transportation officials said.
The ramps will be closed from 9 tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, Caltrans spokesman Mark Rutherford said. The right lane on both sides of Winnetka Avenue at the construction site will also be closed for the same period, Rutherford said.
Motorists are advised to use the eastbound and westbound off-ramps at De Soto Avenue during the closure, he said.
Workers will be resurfacing and restriping the roadway, as well as replacing guardrails along the ramps as part of the Ventura Freeway improvement project, he said.
