Marshall Fundamental 20, Village Christian 14 (OT)--Lester Gamble scored on a 6-yard run on the second play of a California tiebreaker to give the Eagles (6-3, 3-1) the victory at Kennedy High and most likely ruin the Crusaders’ playoff hopes.

Village Christian fumbled away its chance to counter Gamble’s score when fullback Craig Hudspeth lost the ball on the Crusaders’ first tiebreaker play. The Crusaders (7-2, 2-2) led, 14-0, at halftime on Scott Longacre’s 7-yard scoring interception return and quarterback Drew Martenson’s 1-yard touchdown run.
