A 19-year-old transient was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of burglary and grand theft after being arrested on suspicion of committing more than 100 “power off” burglaries in Vista, Fallbrook and Valley Center, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Halario Martinez Hernandez was found Tuesday by sheriff’s detectives in his car at 10:45 a.m. in the 400 block of Olive Avenue in Vista, Sheriff’s Detective Donna Wells said. He is being held in the County Jail at Vista on $263,500 bail.

Wells said Martinez allegedly broke into homes after turning off the power and climbing through windows to steal jewelry, VCRs and guns.
