Local News in Brief : Murder Charges Filed in Parents’ Deaths
- Share via
Multiple murder charges were filed Tuesday against a Sierra Madre man sought for the slayings of his parents a week ago, prosecutors said.
Doris Alice Percell and John Henry Percell, both 61, were found bound and shot in their Sierra Madre home Nov. 15. Their son, Jeffrey Percell, 30, reportedly had been upset with his parents since they reported his drug use to authorities.
Percell, a fugitive since the slayings, was charged with two counts of murder and the special-circumstance allegation of multiple murder that if upheld at a trial would qualify Percell for either a death sentence or life in prison without parole.
