Local News in Brief : Suspect Arrested in Theft of Actor’s Car

A man suspected of stealing more than $3,400 worth of goods from a Hollywood bungalow rented by Robert DeNiro and taking the actor’s rented Mercedes-Benz was arrested Wednesday, police said.
William Dalton, 25, was arrested shortly after Long Beach police found the Mercedes parked near Pacific Coast Highway and San Francisco Avenue, Long Beach Police Lt. Norman Ericksen said.
The car was stolen Nov. 18, apparently after the second of two burglaries at the hotel bungalow rented by DeNiro.
Dalton was being held without bail in the Long Beach jail.
