Cypress police are searching for a man who raped a woman he found jogging alone on a track at Lexington Junior High School late Friday night.

Police Lt. Gordon Re said the man threatened the woman with a long, double-edged knife and forced her into a secluded area, where he raped her at about 10:30 p.m.

The man then demanded that the woman take him to her car, but she refused and ran away, Re said. Re said the man chased her until a motorist stopped to help her and scared the man away.
