The starting time for the Fiesta Bowl...
The starting time for the Fiesta Bowl game between top-ranked Notre Dame and No. 3-ranked West Virginia Jan. 2 has been moved up a half-hour to 1:30 p.m., PST.
Bruce Skinner, the Fiesta’s executive director, said the time change, which will give it a 30-minute head start on the Rose Bowl game on ABC, was initiated by NBC because the network did not want the Fiesta running into the scheduled 5 p.m. telecast of the Orange Bowl, which also will be on NBC.
