The teen-ager who was shot in the head Friday at the Panorama City Mall died at 1:50 p.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.
Sergio Alpuche, 16, was an 11th-grade student at Birmingham High School.
Alpuche was a bystander when two gang members began arguing in front of a jewelry store. One drew a gun and fired twice, striking Alpuche. No suspects have been arrested, police said.
