Eleven people received minor injuries when one of the famed San Francisco cable cars failed to stop at the end of the line on California Street, running off the tracks and onto the concrete. The passengers flew forward on impact and were injured when they struck various protrusions inside the open-air car. Wandering off in a daze and not located until later was the injured grip man, Marcus Lee, a nine-year veteran of the line. Pending an interview scheduled for today, the authorities said they did not know what caused the accident.
