The Coast Guard located the wreckage of a private commuter helicopter in San Francisco Bay, but teams were still searching for the pilot, the only person aboard the six-passenger craft, officials said. The helicopter, operated by Helicopters Unlimited, left Oakland International Airport on Tuesday night and failed to land as scheduled at the Hunters Point shipyard several miles north of San Francisco International Airport, authorities said. The pilot was to pick up some items at the shipyard and return to Oakland. Search teams located the helicopter’s steering stick, parts of the fuselage and part of a door floating in the bay about a mile west of the Oakland airport.
