Three Dallas-area abortion clinics were damaged by early-morning fires that officials suspect were the work of arsonists. Clinic directors blamed anti-abortion activists for the damage but an official at Operation Rescue, an anti-abortion group that has demonstrated at the clinics, said his organization would never resort to such tactics. All of the fires appeared to have been started by someone who splashed a flammable liquid on the buildings. Damage was minor and there were no injuries.
