LOCAL : Man Stabbed at Westminster Cafe
A 22-year-old Huntington Beach man was in critical condition today with a stab wound he suffered when he was caught in the middle of fight Tuesday night, police said.
Be Van Nguyen was attending an invitation-only party for the opening of Cafe Bodard in the Asian Gardens mini-mall at 9200 Bolsa Ave. in Westminster about 9 p.m. when he was attacked, Westminster Police Officer Tom Broderson said.
“There was a group of 15 juvenile and young adult Vietnamese trying to crash the party,” Broderson said. Nguyen “walked outside and got caught in the middle of a fight already in progress and was stabbed once by an unknown person.”
Nguyen was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center. Broderson said the attackers were possibly gang members, but police have no one in custody.
