Tree Fire Injures Man
SAN DIEGO —
A Christmas tree too near a fireplace burst into flames, causing $120,000 damage to a Scripps Ranch home Monday and sending a man to UC San Diego Medical Center with severe burns.
Donald Johnson, 50, was listed in serious condition late Monday afternoon in the hospital’s burn center with burns over much of his head, chest and arms, a hospital supervisor said.
