A 37-year-old Rancho Penasquitos woman was arrested Friday afternoon after she allegedly stabbed her 11-year-old son three times.
The boy, Chung Lim Lee, survived the attack and fled to the home of a neighbor, who called police.
He was taken to Children’s Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition Friday night.
Police had no explanation for the 4 p.m. attack in the Lee home, in the 10700 block of Via las Posadas. The youngster suffered wounds to his chest, throat and left hand. Police did not identify the weapon.
Keon Lee, 37, the boy’s mother, was arrested and booked into the County Jail at Las Colinas on suspicion of attempted murder, corporal punishment to a child and willful cruelty to a child, said Sgt. Bill Edwards of the San Diego Police Department.
