A Garden Grove man died after he was hit by a van Saturday while crossing a street, police said.
Larry Loth, 50, was pronounced dead on arrival at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center.
Loth was crossing Westminster Boulevard near Olive Street when he was struck by a van driven by Lalecia Banks, 27, of Garden Grove, Westminster Police Officer Bob Gill said.
Banks swerved in a bid to avoid Loth. She was not cited, and the accident remains under investigation, Gill said.
Loth was the third county pedestrian in a week to die after being struck by a vehicle. Larry Pughlaska Mandrell, 46, of Anaheim was struck Friday on South Beach Boulevard in Anaheim; Mary Dargan, 6, was struck Tuesday while crossing Crescent Drive in Buena Park.
