Washington State baseball player John Olerud was hospitalized in Spokane, Wash., for tests and observations after collapsing while running at the end of a workout, school athletic officials said. There was no indication what might have caused Olerud’s collapse.
Olerud, a junior pitcher and first baseman, posted a 15-0 record last spring and hit .464.
