Share

Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan heads the list of more than 700 speakers at the 45th annual convention/exposition of the National Assn. of Home Builders opening Friday in Atlanta.

The four-day convention is expected to attract more than 60,000 at its first east-of-the-Mississippi River location since it was held in Chicago more than two decades ago. The first of three meetings in Atlanta will have more than 1,000 exhibitors occupying nearly 10 acres of exhibit space in the World Congress Center, according to NAHB President Dale Stuard.

His successor will be Shirley McVey Wiseman, a Kentucky builder and former official with the department of Housing and Urban Development and the first woman to head the trade association.
