STOCKTON — Coming off a performance Coach Joe Harrington described as horrible, Cal State Long Beach will play University of the Pacific in a Big West Conference men’s basketball game here tonight.
The 49ers, who were criticized by Harrington after a 56-55 loss at Fresno State Saturday night, are 6-8 overall and 3-2 in conference.
The 49ers’ most consistent player has been forward Rolf Jacobs, who had 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals at Fresno.
Pacific had lost 27 straight conference games until it defeated New Mexico State, 75-70, Saturday night. The Tigers are 1-3, 5-7.
