An unidentified man suffered massive head injuries Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident as he crossed the 4500 block of Logan Avenue, police said.

The man was crossing Logan Avenue about 9:15 p.m. when he was hit by a gray Thunderbird traveling 50 to 60 m.p.h., witnesses told police.

The man was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center and is not expected to survive, police said Monday.

In another hit-and-run accident, a woman was hit while crossing the 2900 block of National Avenue at 1 a.m. Monday.

The woman told police that she was crossing the street when she was hit by a slow-moving vehicle with no lights. She was taken to Physicians & Surgeons Hospital, where she was treated for a broken leg, police said.
