“For All Mankind,” a documentary composed entirely of film shot by the Apollo astronauts who went to the moon from 1968 to 1972, was the big winner at this year’s United States Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The movie captured both the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize as best documentary Saturday at the 11th annual independent-film festival that closed Sunday. Producer-director Al Reinert finished the film just eight days ago, the same day it had its first screening at the event, sponsored by Robert Redford’s Sundance Institute and the Utah Film Development Office. Reinert received $5,000 for winning the Grand Jury Prize, as did director Nancy Savoca, whose film “True Love” captured the same prize in the dramatic category.
