Toros to Begin Baseball With New Faces

The baseball season gets under way at Cal State Dominguez Hills with new Coach George Wing unveiling 17 newcomers in the annual alumni game Saturday at 1 p.m. on the Toro field. Alumni expected to participate include former All-Americans Jon Beuder, Fred Hanker, Mike Aspray and Jim Pena, who holds most of the school’s pitching records.

Wing was the head man at Cosumnes River Community College and was previously an assistant at UC Riverside.
