Long Beach Women Rout San Jose, 111-59
Penny Toler scored 30 points and Dana Wilkerson added 21 points and 8 assists to lead Cal State Long Beach past San Jose State, 111-59, in a Big West Conference women’s basketball game Thursday night at Long Beach.
Long Beach (15-4 overall, 9-0 in the Big West) held a 62-30 lead at halftime and continued to build the lead by making 58% of its shots in the second half. San Jose (3-15, 0-9) made only 29% of its shots.
Lora Alexander collected 24 points and 9 rebounds for San Jose. Shamell Coleman added 17 points and 9 rebounds for Long Beach.
