Pepperdine Faces San Diego in Warmup
Pepperdine, tied for first place in the West Coast Athletic Conference with Loyola Marymount and St. Mary’s at 5-1, will play host to the University of San Diego at 7:30 tonight and to St. Mary’s at 7:30 Saturday in Malibu.
San Diego (6-12 overall, 1-5 in the WCAC) won its first conference game last Saturday, upsetting USF, 69-64, a night after the Dons handed St. Mary’s its first conference loss, 62-55.
The Toreros are led by 6-5 freshman guard Gylan Dottin of Santa Ana Saddleback High, who is averaging 13 points a game.
