Former Raider coach Tom Flores says he’s interested in becoming general manager of the Seattle Seahawks, but the man who has been running the club’s operations says it’s not likely Flores will be offered the job.
Flores is a friend of owner Ken Behring, who bought the team last fall and last week fired Mike McCormack as Seahawk president and general manager.
“I’ve talked to Ken and we’re discussing that possibility,” Flores told the Seattle Times. “So I’m obviously interested. But I understand things are kind of up in the air up there.”
Since McCormack’s firing, Mike Blatt has been running the club without an official title.
“Tom has been talking to Ken about different things,” Blatt told the newspaper. “Nothing has been offered, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
