Three small earthquakes were felt in some parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, seismologists at UC Berkeley reported. The temblors registered 2.4, 2.6 and 2.7 on the Richter scale. Earthquakes of that magnitude rarely cause any damage. The quakes were centered in the Pacific Ocean about five miles west of the Golden Gate, on or near the San Andreas Fault.
