A car Jackie Joyner-Kersee was using while making an appearance at a city mall in Brooklyn, N.Y., in honor of Black History Month, was stolen.
Police said the car contained a $15,000 Waterford Crystal vase that Joyner-Kersee was awarded last week as the Sporting News’ athlete of the year, plus other valuables and luggage.
