Newport Harbor High School’s Sienna Curci, one of the nation’s top girls’ volleyball players, has signed a national letter of intent to attend California next fall, said Charlie Brande, Orange County Volleyball Club coach.

Curci, a 5-foot-5 setter, helped Newport Harbor to the 5-A championship in 1987. She considered UCLA and Stanford but decided on Cal, where brother Mike, a former standout at Newport Harbor, plays for the men’s volleyball team.
