IN BRIEF : Cards’ Cox Pushes TV Cameraman

St. Louis Cardinal Danny Cox, upon arriving today from Florida to have his pitching elbow examined, knocked over a television cameraman at Lambert Airport and then walked away, according to videotape of the incident.

KSDK-TV cameraman Frank Scalise was standing to the side, not in Cox’s path, when the pitcher walked up to him and pushed him backward, said William Bolster, the general manager of the station. Another TV cameraman taped Scalise being pushed backward and falling over. Cox, who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, was filmed slowly walking away down a concourse at the airport.

It was not immediately known whether Scalise suffered any injuries in the fall.
