Orange Glen 7, Point Loma 0--Jim Roby allowed just five hits as Orange Glen (2-1) won at home. Kurt Kromer’s two-run single gave Orange Glen a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning. Herman Moreno put the game away with a grand slam in the sixth. Roby, in his first start of the season, didn’t allow a walk and struck out eight.

Bonita Vista 15, Mar Vista 5--Casey June went four for four with two RBIs and two runs scored in the Barons’ rout at Mar Vista. Frank Castro (three hits, three runs), Matt Gibbs (three hits, two RBIs, one run) and Greg Costello (three RBIs) also hit well for Bonita Vista (1-2). Gibbs and winning pitcher Jeff Bogel scattered five hits but allowed five runs.

Mt. Miguel 7, Carlsbad 3--Keith Baldwin was four for four with a home run, triple and two doubles to lead the Matadors at home. Baldwin had a home run in the third and David Simms (1-1) went the distance. Mt. Miguel broke the game open with four runs in the sixth.

San Pasqual 5, Fallbrook 3--Kevin Hearde had a two-run single to right in the fifth to give San Pasqual a 5-1 lead. Dave Goss was two for four and scored twice for San Pasqual (1-0).

Rancho Buena Vista 6, Torrey Pines 4--Robert McCloud went the distance, allowing three hits and striking out 13 to lead the Longhorns (1-0) at Torrey Pines (0-1). Steve Valencia was two for three, and John Robirds was two for two for Rancho Buena Vista.

Laguna Beach 6, El Camino 2--Aaron Scheid walked the bases loaded in the first inning, and Laguna Beach surrendered two runs on a passed ball and an error. From then on, Scheid was nearly perfect as he went the distance, allowing host El Camino (0-1) one hit. Fred Hernandez doubled in the bottom of the second for El Camino’s lone hit.
