Comedian Don Rickles and his wife were robbed at gunpoint of their 1988 Jaguar Tuesday night as the couple parked the car on a West Hollywood street, sheriff’s officials said.
Neither Rickles, who was a passenger in the car, nor his wife, Barbara, were injured in the hold-up, which occurred about 5:15 p.m. as they parked the car on Fountain Avenue to visit their daughter, who lives nearby, Police Sgt. Arthur Ames said.
The Rickleses had just gotten out of the car when the thief walked up, pointed a gun at Barbara Rickles’ chest and demanded her purse and then the car keys, Ames said.
The robber was last seen driving the white 1988 Jaguar XJ-6 west on Fountain Avenue, deputies said.
