Local : Gunman Rakes Downtown Denny’s Window With AK-47; Diners Duck

A Denny’s Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles was raked by bullets in a drive-by shooting at about 2:45 a.m. today but no one was injured, police said. There were no witnesses to the incident.
“When the shooting started, everyone ducked down so nobody saw the car,” said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Ed Wheelis. The gunman fired about 10 rounds from an AK-47 semiautomatic weapon, smashing a plate glass window of the restaurant at 530 Ramirez St.
