Bonita Vista 9, Valhalla 6--John Solomon was two for three with a three-run homer and Mike Wazal was three for four for Bonita Vista (3-5).

Castle Park 28, Mt. Miguel 1--Five Mt. Miguel pitchers walked 17 batters, and Hector Mejia hit a grand slam in the fifth to lead Castle Park (5-1-1). Benji Gil (1-0) picked up the win and was three for three with five RBIs. Joe Carrillo was two for four with four RBIs. Carrillo now has seven consecutive hits spanning two games.

San Dieguito 2, Mar Vista 2--The game was called after eight innings because of darkness.

Crawford tournament

Crawford 10, Clairemont 5--Eric Turner, Eric Kobrick and John Edge each contributed two hits and two RBIs for the Colts. Chris Townsend went three for three with two doubles and two runs scored for Crawford, 4-1.

Serra 5, Morse 3--Center fielder Charlie Moreno saved three extra base hits in the field for Serra and Robby Knight was two for three as the Conquistadors moved to .500 at 3-3.

Mira Mesa 12, University City 3--John Cuff went three for four for Mira Mesa, which had five other players collect two hits each. One, Jimmy Escamilla, had two RBIs.

La Jolla 10, Christian 8--Jon Romanowsky was four for five with five RBIs for La Jolla (2-3). Mark Hanna (1-2) earned the win.

GMC tournament

El Cajon Valley 4, Marian 3--Chris Holder’s bases-loaded double in the sixth drove home the two winning runs for El Cajon Valley (3-2). Holder was two for four with two RBIs. Jack Kaewpalug (1-1) went the distance.

San Diego 10, Parker 3--Kian Sly and Junior Guzman each went three for four for San Diego (4-0-1), which advanced to today’s championship game against Southwest. Claudio Moreno (1-0) was the winner. Parker is 2-2.
