3 Schools Get 2 Boys Each on All-South Unit

Southern Section champions Millikan and Dominguez, and Moore League power Lakewood each placed two players on the boys Times’ All-South Coast basketball team.

Jeep Jensen and Terry Hilliard of Millikan, Xavier Edison and DiJon Bernard of Dominguez and Brian Camper and Victor Camper of Lakewood are six of the nine seniors on the team.

Bernard, the Campers and Russell May of Mayfair are all repeaters on the team.

The only junior is Lynwood’s Earnest Killum, who averaged 29.8 points a game.

The All-South Coast girls team is led by Lynwood’s Linda Watson, a Parade magazine All-American who averaged 22.2 points a game.

Three teams each placed two players. From Compton are juniors Kathleen Hill and Sharnette McMillan.

From Poly are seniors Miko Montgomery and Yvonne Vanlandingham.

And from St. Joseph are seniors Lisa Fernandez and Dana Montoya.

The top scorer on the girls team is Iesha Smith of Artesia, a junior who averaged 25.3 points a game.

She and Watson are the repeaters on the team.
