Paul Molitor, the often-injured hitting star of the Milwaukee Brewers, suffered a dislocated finger while horsing around with teammate Dave Engle during running drills at Chandler, Ariz., and underwent surgery at a Phoenix hospital.
Molitor, bothered by a sore shoulder all spring, was scheduled to start the season as the Brewers’ third baseman.
