The 62-year-old manager of a Burger King suffered a fatal heart attack while two gunmen were robbing his fast-food restaurant, San Jose police said. The gunmen could face murder charges when apprehended, Lt. Darrel Richter said. Karl Schmity, was counting receipts when one of the robbers slipped into the restaurant through a door left open by an employee taking out garbage. The gunman forced three employees to lie on the floor, then confronted Schmity and marched him to the dining area at gunpoint, Richter said. “He started to suffer a physical attack then,” the lieutenant said.
