BEST BITES : For a Truly Different Seder: Don’t Cook It!

Share

By now we all know that the truly trendy in Los Angeles celebrate Passover by going out to eat. Should you, however, be a traditionalist and actually want to serve seder at home, you might like to know that you won’t have to cook. Junior’s Delicatessen is offering what they call “the Passover alternative.” They’re making extra latkes, tzimmes, matzo balls and brisket . . . so you don’t have to. But that’s not all--they’ll even sell you charoset and bitter herbs to go.

But if even that is too much trouble, why not have your seder catered? Lila Greene, a. k. a. Renta Yenta, delivers complete seders for 10. The cost is $200, delivered--and she’ll even throw in a glass of wine for Elijah.
